Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data Gauci Magri & Partners collects when you visit gaucimagri.com, get in touch with us, or work with us as an investor client, why we use it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We work with investors in the UK, Malta and elsewhere, so we follow both the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR. Last updated: 4 October 2026.

1. Who we are

Gauci Magri & Partners (Reg. P1389) is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at:

2. What we collect and why

We do not ask for special category data (such as health information), and we do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

When you first visit, a bar at the bottom of the page tells you that we use HubSpot, Google Analytics and the Meta pixel. None of them runs until you click OK. No thanks keeps all three off on that visit and on future visits from the same browser. Until you choose, the bar stays open and nothing is stored on your device. Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode until then: it sets no cookies and sends Google only anonymous signals with no identifiers.

  • Your cookie choice (strictly necessary): we store your OK or No thanks answer in your browser so we do not ask on every page.
  • HubSpot (analytics, only after you click OK): sets cookies such as __hstc, hubspotutk, __hssc and __hssrc to record which pages you visit and, if you send us an enquiry, to link those visits to it.
  • Google Analytics (analytics, only after you click OK): sets cookies such as _ga to count visits and show how people find the site, for example from Google search or an advert. Google Ireland Limited provides this service; see Google’s privacy policy.
  • Meta pixel (marketing, only after you click OK): sets cookies such as _fbp and sends Meta information about your visit, such as the page viewed and your browser details. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited is responsible for how it uses that data for its own purposes; see Meta’s privacy policy.

You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where we need to in order to run the business. Most of the providers below act only on our instructions; Meta and WhatsApp also use data for their own purposes under their own terms.

  • HubSpot: our contact form, meeting calendar and client records
  • Cloudflare: hosts and protects this website
  • Meta: advertising measurement, only after you click OK
  • WhatsApp: if you choose to message us there
  • Solicitors, conveyancers, letting agents, contractors, lenders and brokers involved in your purchase, refurbishment or tenancy, only the details they need and with your knowledge
  • Our accountants, auditors and professional advisers, and public authorities where the law requires it

5. Transfers between the UK, the EU and elsewhere

We operate from both the UK and Malta, and data moves between them. The UK and the EU each recognise the other’s data protection standards for these transfers. Some of our providers, or companies in their groups, may also process data in other countries, including the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by recognised safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to working together: up to 48 months after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Client, property, payment and invoicing records: for as long as UK or Maltese tax, accounting and anti-money laundering law requires us to keep them.
  • Marketing cookies: for the period set by Meta, once you click OK, unless you click No thanks or clear your cookies sooner.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
  • delete your data where we no longer have a good reason to keep it
  • restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it, including any marketing
  • send your data to you or another organisation in a portable format
  • withdraw any consent you have given, and switch off HubSpot tracking, Google Analytics and the Meta pixel at any time with No thanks

Email hello@gaucimagri.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK (ico.org.uk), the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta (idpc.org.mt), or the data protection authority where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to put it right with you first.

8. Keeping data secure

We limit access to the people who need it, use providers with recognised security controls, and serve this site over an encrypted connection. No system is completely secure, so if something does go wrong we will act quickly and tell you and the regulator where the law requires it.

9. Links to other websites

Our site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, Facebook and WhatsApp. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
